More Adventures of Lucille....The Red Chevy Truck

Lucille's Dribbles....More Adventures Of Lucille...The Red Chevy Truck

Well, I bought her about two years ago, from a mechanic guy down on the boulevard. She was pretty old..and 1988 Silverado, and had wheather some miles, but the mechanic told me it was his own personal truck, had a relatively new engine, and had towed a trailer back from California without any problem. She's clunky, racey, and mades creeking noises in the suspension. We took it down to my nephew-in-law Damian to check it out, he's been a mechanic working for the big dealerships and now has his own shop, employees and lots of business. He approved with the warning, it's old so you never know.

Well come two years later she is running like a pro, has had some minor issues, starter died, taillights going out, but man she is a real go-getter. Knock on wood, or her dusty interior. I figure during these windy, dusty months she can have more than the normal layer of dirt. But she runs good, I don't think she leaks much oil.

But here is the deal....I was out driving the delivery route, pulled up in a typical middle American driveway, just one of those slap together types of homes, nothing special, and here after the delivery I got a reaming about pulling in the guys driveway that I might drip oil. Lucille was so humilitated, I thought she might have tears in her eyes.

But she got right over it on the next run, nice tip too which keep her belly (tank) full too.
